Since 1999
Located in beautiful #Kirkfield – Kawartha Lakes, Ontario Kawartha Lakes Road 6 and Highway 48, just minutes away from Kirkfield Lift-locks (part of the Trent Severn Waterway,) the Firefly Flea & Farmers Market has been around since 1999.
The Firefly Flea & Farmers Market has gone through a few owners, the current owner Anna & Chris moved up to #Kirkfield to be close to their wonderful grandchildren family and friends and immediately fell in love with the charm of #Kirkfield so they started building their future in the centre of town.
The Firefly Flea & Farmers Market is going back to its roots, the previous owners had opted for non-traditional approach, and Chris & Anna would like to revive the charm of a small town Flea Market with vendors selling their wares and providing inclusion for farmers, beekeepers, maple syrup producers, bakers, and other food products from this area. They already curate items from local crafters at the Purple Door Craft And Christmas Store, which is just across the street, together they provide a fun family experience.
The plans for the future of the Flea Market are renovations for the exterior and interior, a solar system and other friendly to the environment solutions to make the flea market more eco-friendly and sustainable. And the introduction of a virtual marketplace and online auctions at the fireflyfleamarket.com website.
The Firefly Flea & Farmers Market also houses a food truck that sells delicious fries and poutines and the now traditional Fish and Chips Fridays. We are also looking to add a few more food truck vendors to further the fun whole family fun experience.

- The Firefly Farmers Market Fair is an annual end of season event featuring the harvest of local farmers.
